lol Hoss has decided that today's attempt was just a trial to see where we were at :) Basically we started the Couch to 5K today at oh 11:30 a.m. in LA. It was only 97 degrees. I know! Quite cool for us :)
Anyways basically the first week of the plan is 60 secs jog 90 secs walk for 20 minutes which Hoss figured up to be 8 times jogging. I know he's disappointed in me but I'm proud of what I did. Nope I didn't complete it, I probably (according to Hoss) jogged about 5 1/2 times. But I thought that was pretty darn awesome.
Let's face it, I don't have a runners body. Never did even when I thought running might be cool (I quickly changed that after day 2 of Freshman Cross Country -- momma didn't raise a fool). Not only am I 80+ lbs over weight for my barely 5'2" frame but most of that is top heavy.
But I'm proud still, I never actually quit. I had to stop to take something off for my ankles but I never really stopped moving.
Next week we start for real (because apparently you have to do this in a traditional week setting because we color within the lines :D) and hopefully by the end of week 1 I'll more than have the 8 times of jogging down so that week 2 is easier.
